We are a friendly bunch, and we like to keep it that way! 
We are a dedicated group of people who follow the Atkins Diet.
We discuss our individual woes (ways of eating),
we answer questions & share our own Atkins experiences.
In addition,
we also provided support for each other in our daily lives.
You must be a member of Atkins House in order to post.
If a member has a specific question, you may choose to post it on the Specific Topics message board.
But it would be best if you post it on the most current General Discussion thread.
The General Discussion board is where the majority of our members hang out.
Each General Discussion thread runs for 100 posts, and then a new one is started.
Do not be upset if your thread seems to suddenly "disappear" -
just be forewarned that if you begin a new, separate thread on the General Discussion board,
that your post will be moved to the appropriate thread and the separate thread will be deleted within 2 days
in order to keep our House tidy and from becoming overwhelmed with individual postings.
This form of posting is much more friendly & it allows our members to get to know each other more personally.
(And no - we will NOT switch our format.)
Please keep in mind that our managers have worked with children and /or have been supervisors.
They are rule followers and rule enforcers.
So here are our membership & posting rules:
1. Please refrain from using profanity.
There are other means of expression...please use them.
2. Please refrain from using all capital letters, as it is considered to be yelling.
Any messages posted in all capital letters are subject to deletion.
3. There is no such thing as a dumb question.
4. Judgments of others will not be tolerated.
Please keep hurtful opinions to yourself.
5. No spam will be allowed or tolerated.
Any member who posts spam will have thier membershipimmediately canceled and will be BANNED.
Period.
6. All posts at Atkins House are considered to be personal property
of the person(s) / member(s) who made the original posting.
No person shall use any information or quote messages or posts
from the Atkins House message boards
for any commercial purpose(s) unless express permission
is specifically granted by the individual member(s) who authored and posted the original information or message.
7. Be advised that managerial discretion will be used
and any threads or posts will be deleted if the rules are not followed &/or considered inappropriate.
8. Failure to follow these rules may result in loss of membership privileges.
9. Effective November 1, 2005 -
Members of the Atkins House
will be required to post on the boards of Atkins House
a minimum of once within an 18-month time period in order to keep thier membership active.
The 18-month time period shall be individual to each member
and will be calculated from either the date of last member posting
OR
the date of effective membership (whichever date is most current).
It is the responsibility of the member to keep thier status as active.
