Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, these robust landing nets feature a scale housed inside the handle for convenient weighing of fish. Sealed in a watertight compartment when not in use, the scale (depending on model) weighs to 14lb-6.5kg. or 30lb -13.5kg.  Built with corrosion resistant materials, a non-slip handle and finished in anodized bronze color these nets come in hoop, folding and hinged handle styles.  Standard net bag is soft woven knotless nylon.  Optional net bags are micro-mesh (prefix M)

The McLean M130 landing net is the one that I use on the Lake Erie tributaries. The combination of strength and lightness from thick wall aluminum tubing, large hoop design (21 x 17 inches), built in 14 lb. scale (contained in the watertight handle) and hinged/telescopic handle make it unbeatable for landing large fish like Great Lakes steelhead. Optional large Micro Mesh net bag minimizes harm to fish. Compact hinged design allows for out of the way attachment to back of fishing vest with net release (sold seperately by companies like Orvis, Brodin, Rose Creek Anglers, Inc. and May Fly HEX-CESSORIES).
