For example, in a class B event, John rated (1447) defeats Suzan (1266)

Winner rating (1447) - loser rating (1266) = 181.
Thus, the winner gains 4 points whilst the loser has 2 points taken away.

If this had occurred in a class A event, it would have been +6 and -3

If Suzan wins during a class B event, she will gain 17 points and John will lose 8 points.

Dans un événement de classe B, Mylène (347) joue contre Serge (130) Si Mylène gagne, (347-130 = 217) elle augmentera de 3 points alors que Serge perdra 1 point. Par contre, si Serge cause la surprise, (130-347 = -217), alors Serge acquiert 22 points alors que Mylène en perd seulement 11.

Dans un événement de classe A Serge (130) joue contre Marie-Claude (759) Si Serge gagne (130-759 = -629), Serge gagne 75 points alors que Marie-Claude n’en perd seulement 37. Dans le cas contraire, (759-130 = 629), Marie-Claude, largement favorite, gagne 1 point alors que Serge n’en perd aucun.
