| | Sheila's Journal Saturday, April 21, 2007 Well here it is April 20th already and I see that I haven't been into my journal at all this year. I have begun to update my lighting and I havedecided to give a new potting soil that I saw at an orchid show in November a try with my violets. I have repotted everything into it so will see how they do. Joanne, you asked a question way back in December about whether I was in Canada. Yes I am in Ontario. I am planning a visit out to my Mom in July. She lives in Red Deer Alberta. Anyway that is what has been happening with my violets right now. | |

| | Sheila's Journal Monday, October 15, 2007 Well here it is the end of the Canadian Convention. I managed to get up to Mississauga for an afternoon. The plants were beautiful. I even met the hybridizer of a couple of my plants, Jeanie Bell from New Brunswick. I came home with three of the Russian varieties to give them a try, a new strep, a petrocosmea, and a micro mini violet trailer that is just adorable. The show plants were beautiful, I can only hope that someday I can grow violets like them. | |

| | Sheila's Journal Friday, March 07, 2008 A few weeks ago I was given a packet of miniture african violet seeds. I sowed them as per the instructions that came with them and low and behold I have very tiny green specks poking through. I am very excited as this is the first time that I have been successful with seeds. I can't wait to see what I end up with. | |

| | Sheila's Journal Sunday, September 21, 2008 My tiny green specks from the seeds I sowed have grown into a couple of nice looking little seedlings. One is actually going to bloom. It will be interesting to see what it looks like. | |
