Irish Session on the Isle of Wight - There is an Irish(ish) session, at 'Bobs Basement' on the Isle of Wight every thursday night.......from 7 onwards. Although open to to all levels, it is very beginner friendly. So if you are an Islander and fed up of playing with yourself or are visiting the Island and fancy a thursday session, look us up. The West London branch of Comhaltas has announced the following list of session dates; the sessions are held on the second Friday of the month at the Irish Centre, Blacks Road, Hammersmith Broadway, Hammersmith, W6, commencing at 8.30 pm: July 13 September 14 October 12 November 9 December 14 The Hammersmith Centre web site containing details of other events is at http://www.lbhf.gov.uk/irishcentre The London Regional Board of Comhaltas is based at the London Irish Centre, 52 Camden Square, London NW1 9XB and they are busy building a web site which will eventually have information on all three London branches.
