Background:

Working with other musicians is of highest priority with Bonnie Birch. She met Nick Heiting 10 years ago at which point they formed a musical partnership that has grown and continues to mature with musical ideas. They perform in many diverse venues such as the concert stage, restaurants, or at a party in someone's home. They can be found strolling at outdoor festivals such as the Bellevue Arts Fest or the Taste of Edmonds. They are also regulars strolling through the Snowtrain which goes to Leavenworth, Wa. during the holiday season.

They are often joined by another fine musician to form a trio. The other instrument could be a bass, violin, mandolin, saxophone, or vocalist.

The Music:

The style of music is called European Continental, Bistro, Parisian or Mediterranean Ambiance, etc. Whether simple or complex tunes, the execution is always of the highest standard. Bonnie has found that the duo and trio combination with this type of music has become very popular at events for all ages for the following reasons:

1. the cost is reasonable

2. the music is very diverse in style, tempo, rhythm and with this great variety, is very pleasant to listen to

3. the group can fit in small spaces and can adjust the volume appropriately

4. setup for the group is simple; electrical requirements are minimal to none
